So today I ordered the typical Dominican plate rice , beans and chicken… but sadly that is the hardest rice I’ve ever tried in my life. I used to go to 3 Corners ? but have decided to try this one since it’s at a walking distance from my house but let me tell you DO NOT ! Not only the rice was hard , but also the staff can improve in the customer service area, they didn’t greet me till I asked for help. TBH I’m surprised they have so many good reviews that was also one of the main reasons I decided to tried but disappointed maybe I’ll give them another chance in the future.
I went back after ordering the smoked pork chops, which was good. This second time, we ordered the fried snapper with Yucca, and my son got the smoked chicken with yellow rice and beans. WOW, so tasty! I am a creature of habit. I find something good, and I stick with it.The food here is deeelicious. I can't wait to try another dish.I highly recommend Carmen's Restaurant.The yucca reminds me of my mother's cooking from Sierra Leone in West Africa.Great food. Thank you Carmen.
No organization behind the counter which derails the experience. We order 2 meals for pick up, went to pick it up and waited 20 minutes to pay. Get home and we were missing food. They did deliver the missing food which was suppose to be a mondongo soup. It turns out that 90% of the soup was vegetables and 10% mondongo. Quality and customer experience has gone down hill at this restaurant.
This is the best food we've experienced on our journey. It's authentic Dominican Republic cuisine, made with real ingredients! After carrying a large wooden cross for about 70 miles from southwest Philadelphia, we are so grateful to have discovered this place!

Pollo guisado was delicious. I got the large and I felt like I was having a feast! Thank you carmen you made my day at work. The food tastes like it was made with love, like youre at your friends house and his mom makes you dinner. Highly recommend
Absolutely terrible. Chicken chunks apparently are burnt chicken bones, skin and scraps. Rice taste like it's been sitting around all day. Beans aint it either, little flavor too watery. Wow what a disappointment
the mangu con los tres golpes???? AMAZING!!! those empanadas are 2 die 4!! plus a good sweet passion fruit juice 2 wash it down: definitely recommending this place
The food choices were super mid. I don't know if it was a bad day but the food wasnt that good.
