Carmine's Utah - Reservar una mesa

I'm so sad about this place. I reviewed it 6 years ago and it was so good! We loved it! The food was delicious, the service was amazing... we couldn't believe it. My husband and I have been to this place a few times over the years and sadly, each time it got progressively worse. Last night was pretty bad. The food was bland, service was ok and there was no music. Felt like a cafeteria. We were seated and greeted with 4 thin slices of bread and 2 packs of butter. They used to have sourdough bread and flavored butter that they put in little serving dishes. It was disappointing. I ordered the filet, it was the special. The filet was good, but served on a mushroom sauce that was basically salty...

4 of us went to dinner on Thursday night. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The first meal came out totally burnt on the top and the bottom; Chef should have never let it out of his kitchen and the waiter should have never served it. I called the manager over and sent it back. The second meal came out and it was like the Chef took it out of the fridge and slapped cold sauce on it. By this time the other 3 in our party had finished their meals. I asked for a to-go box and took my meal home where I threw it in the garbage. Needless to say I will never go back to this restaurant again.

Unfortunate- we loved this place the last time, but tonight’s showing was just abysmal. Chicken Parmesan was cooked to a burnt crisp and had oil leaking out when pressed. Our Carbonara likewise swam in oil and the noodles were so over cooked they mashed with the slightest pressure from a fork. We ended up tossing our food and will not be back- absolutely not worth the price. Food: 1

The food is super delicious, went with my wife to celebrate her birthday. Overall it's a lovely place.
