Very disappointed with this store. I asked my daughter to pick up fudgie the whale for me and when she brought it to me it was a mini cake a lot smaller than the box it was in. Called the store owner and he said he can make it whatever size and charge whatever price he wanted. I usually go to west orange where fudgie fills the box. I will never go to Madison carvel again. He is a ripoff. Also the crunchies were soft and the fudge was not the same. I would have thought all carvel cakes would be the same at all stores. I would recommend going to a different store.
Completely disappointing. I've been a loyal Carvel customer for 40 years in New York. After moving to New Jersey, I was excited to find a Carvel in Madison, NJ. I ordered an ice cream cake meant to serve 14 to 18 people, but when we opened it, everyone burst out laughing. It cost $35! (See the picture if I can upload it.) The cake was only about an inch thick and barely served 12, with everyone getting just a tiny slice. This place is a total rip-off. Avoid it.
I was looking to buy an ice cream cake for my son for his birthday and the site said they close at 10:30pm which was perfect. Well we arrive and it’s only 9:20pm and they are closed with no updated signs and such; I was very disappointed after driving 20 minutes to get there when all the other carvel locations state online they close by 9:30pm. Never coming here again
I ordered the crazy for crunchies cake for my sons birthday. It was supposed to serve up to 12 people. It cost me $53.00. The cake was a tiny round cake that barely fed 6 people. There was nothing special about this cake. It was a total rip off. I'll never order from here again. RIP OFF!!!

I moved to Jersey 5 years ago from Colorado and I've been looking for a great authentic Mexican restaurant. This is it! Best Mexican food in Jersey! AMAZING!! I'll definitely be back.
Stingy with the ice cream and toppings compared to other Carvels. Didn't use the plastic drip/sprinkle catcher on my cone like other places.
Awesome ice cream and Kind staff. Also quick service. This Carvel location is better than other Carvel locations I been to.
That was really good. They layered the toppings and sauces well, good proportions. Will be ordering again!

This location cheats you on the portion size and overcharges. The South Orange Carvel is much better.
