If I could give zero stars, I would. My fiancé and I visited this Carvel and ordered two soft-serve ice creams. The owner acted as if we were wasting his time, despite the fact that we knew exactly what we wanted. He took my fiancé's order without issue, but when it came to mine, it felt like I was completely ignored.
When we went to pay, we were unaware of the outrageous $15 minimum for credit card transactions, especially since our order totaled only $12. The owner made a big scene, pointing to the sign that stated the minimum, which we hadn't noticed. I apologized, and although he processed the transaction, he made sure to publicly remind everyone that I should bring cash next time.

An older man came out from the back after I had been waiting and called out, and he was incredibly rude! I had some questions about ordering a cake, but he only responded with sarcastic comments instead of answering me. He suggested that I just choose a cake from the display and put it in my freezer. Fortunately, I found the recipe for the crunchies online and ended up making my daughter's birthday cake myself!
Saw the owner verbally assault a customer for the 10th time the other day. Can't believe they let the guy run a business still... someone is going to throw an ice cream at his large face one day... and that will be blissful karma for years of beinga total Grinch.
All my kids love their ice cream cake, so at least 3 times a year I get our bday cakes from there! No need to pre-order, just come, pick out what you want and the owner can do some writing on it right then and there.

Gentleman that works is a delight but every time I go and he's not working I never get what I order and they are always out of flavors.
It's illegal to charge more money just to use a credit card in Connecticut, and that's just what they do here!!! Please report!!
