I am disappointed to write this review as Carawanna used to serve incredibly delicious food. The chili used to have a vibrant color and the meat was finely broken up, creating a more saucy texture rather than the tasteless bean and meat mixture it is now. The dish lacked the distinct taste that Carawanna was known for. The fries were undercooked and even though we ordered them with chili, they were still lacking in flavor. This was not the first time we had a disappointing experience, and it seems like this may be the new norm at Carawanna. I am not a fan.
The food at this restaurant is amazing, but recently the prices have been increasing. This seems to be a common complaint among other customers as well. The service is average, with a rating of 3 out of 5. The atmosphere is also rated at a 3. Recommended dishes include the Texas Burger, Pierogies, and Loaded Fries. The average price per person for a meal is between $30 and $50.
This place has very authentic food. Will definitely be returning. Food was wonderful and the homemade pierogies were so good! The french fries and gravy are definitely worth trying an so much more! I highly recommend and we'll be going back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
I give this restaurant 5 stars for their large pierogies, quality cuts of meat, and excellent service. Although the chili dogs weren't the best, they were still tasty. I definitely plan on returning here. There are not many old-school places like this left.

Let me tell you, these are the best chili burgers in the area. You know that feeling of walking into a small town and feeling like an outsider? These people make you feel right at home! The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect 5-star rating.
This restaurant is crazy charging $8.00 for a hot dog, lol OMG ridiculous! There are so many other places with better quality meat. The meat in the chili sauce tastes like it was bought at Walmart, yuck! Who would eat here?
this place is the epitome of carbondale charme! pick them up in the wall, but the most delicious chili cheese dogs and/or burgers! try the fries too! we love, love, love this place!
Haven't been here in 20 years. Taste just as good as I remember! Chili cheeseburger and fries is the way to go.
