Casa Mexicana - Reservar una mesa

I don?t often post negative reviews. However, after the experience at lunch today while visiting Casa Mexicana, I feel compelled to do so in this case. I have been a loyal patron of this restaurant for over a year. I?ve always been met with good food, smiling faces and good service. The experience today fell far short of those normal standards. My coworker and I went to the restaurant for lunch today. She ordered a Taco Salad Bowl. Upon receipt of her food, she was immediately dissatisfied with the presentation. Service was good. Food does not. Salsa was a bland, thin tomato sauce, nachos had chips, some sort of ground beef melted cheese. No tomatoes, chopped chiles or scallions. And the cheese tasted like American not cheddar. With our dinners, the guacamole garnishment was good but the amount was very small, like a teaspoon or so on lettuce.

An excellent Tex Mex style restuarant. The salsa is very good and spicy. I particularly liked the flan. Will come back again when I'm in town. Well recommended.
