I have been enjoying dinner at Castillo 's for some time now and we love this place! It is a small hidden gem if you do not know of it. My husband and I have had everything from a simple dish to the lobster seafood combo special. Every meal was tasty cooked perfectly and served at the right temperature. We have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. We have introduced many friends to this quaint restaurant and always look forward to our next meal here. This was probably the worst meal of my life.. My boyfriend and I couldn?t wrap our heads around how the restaurant has such high reviews. To begin, we walked into a smoke filled restaurant, in which I brought to the waitresses? attention. My comment wasdismissed, but later solidified when they realized they left bread burning on their panini press. Next, we got the appetizerwhich seems fine at first, until we got to the bottom and a handful of the calamari were stale I thought I just bit intoplastic. Finally, my boyfriend got the flounder franchise, which was filled with bones and the egg batter was still runny. Iordered the lobster ravioli thinking ?how can they mess this up?? well... they...
When our appetizer arrived, it seemed fine initially, but when we reached the bottom, several pieces of the calamari were stale – it felt like I was biting into plastic. My boyfriend ordered the flounder francese, but it was filled with bones, and the egg batter was still runny. I chose the lobster ravioli, thinking there was no way they could mess it up. Unfortunately, they did. The filling was okay, but I've had much better. What truly ruined the dish for me was the sauce, if you can even call it that. It tasted like they had simply mixed a bit of cream into nacho cheese sauce, which was appalling.

This restaurant is exceptional. Everything—from the food to the staff—is simply wonderful. The seafood is incredibly fresh and is prepared with both love and expertise. While it may take a little time for your meal to arrive, you can be assured that it's being made fresh, and it's definitely worth the wait. I’m a bit reluctant to share this review because I want to keep this gem to myself, but that wouldn’t be fair. The chef really understands food. We absolutely love dining here. We even brought my 92-year-old dad for Father's Day, and he adored the food as much as we did. We loved it so much that we had to come back, even though it’s an hour and a half drive away!

We had visited them for both dine in and take out. Food is always so good. Tonight we had their Tonight?s Special. Tequila mussels as the appetizer and catch of the day sea bass with broccoli rabe and Halibut with gnocchi as main courses. The pesto sauce was legit. Tasted so fresh. Their garlic bread was complimentary but it was freshly toasted with so much butter and garlic and parsley. We spent $50 60 per person. For how big of pieces they serve, the price is really reasonable. We will definitely come back again.

We live 30 minutes away and we will be back. Also owned by a veteranand we should support another great American hero.

Delicious food! Everything was fresh and tasty, making it definitely worth the visit. The service was excellent—very attentive and accommodating staff. It created a perfect atmosphere for a first date. I recommend going early, as this place tends to get crowded quickly!
