Casuelas Cafe - Reservar una mesa

I will say this it started out very good, the courteous and quick staff aim to please. It was very hot outside though and eventually we discovered the patio misters and fans were not very effective. Then comes the food. The menu was typical but rather pricey compared to other mexican restaurants. We decided to savor the enchaladas and tacos. I must say the enchaladas were nearly the best— if not the BEST — we have ever had. The tacos were also delightful but not as exceptional as the enchaladas. Unlike the main course, the trimming rice and beans seemed rather dry and tasteless. There was also too much cheese... very thick and just too much. One area of disappointment was a decline in the service quality toward the end of our meal. Apparently they all went on break at the same time. Everyone needs a break, but maybe stagger them so service is maintained. Would we go back? Maybe, but probably not. Dropping $60 on mexican food that is partly delicious and partly average is not same thing that we are likely to do again.

A lively place for great Mexican food! The Albondigas Soup here was excellent and the Grilled Fish Tacos served with a light, fluffy and tasteful Spanish rice. I had the Dobel Diamante Skinny Margarita and it was very delicious. You have live music outside on the terrace and it was too loud inside. We mentioned it on our server and it closes the door to the terrace and we were able to return after that. The staff was very friendly, friendly and helpful. It is a fairly large restaurant and they have a full service bar. A great experience and we go back when we visit the Palms Springs/Desert area

The service was great the food was delicious the live music was a nice gesture and I live in Brea ca and let me just say!!!! I'd definitely go back! It was my other half and our two older children and our 1yr old who ate our bill 75.00 and everyone got a fat tip because they were attentive and friendly about the top

Good food, nice ambience, but unfortunately, when my party of 2 came, there was a super loud huge group inside. They were so loud that we could hardly talk. Luckily they left after 15mins or something! Waiting attentive and when I said my friend celebrated a day, he got a beautiful Mexican flan for dessert!

Great outdoor atmosphere and music, but lost a star because my entree was too long under the heat lamp.
