We have not been to Cathy Garden for some time, the staff have changed and seem indifferent. The draught beer had a wierd taste to it so i just left it.The crab and sweetcorn soup is chicken and sweetcorn soup with cut crabsticks added. They forgot to serve the spring rolls with the auderves, after clearing the table they brought out two spring rolls, no sauce and no plates to eat off. We did not get the finger bowl with warm water and lemon as other customers did. The cucumber, chopped spring onion, hoy sin sauce came out with 6 home made pancakes. Then the bones with what was a poor excuse for duck arrived, we managed to make two very small rolls each any smaller and they could have passed...
Ordered roast crispy pork, duck, curry sauce, salt and pepper chips egg fried rice and a kids box My grandson (4) ate one chip and no more. The duck was ok as was the rice and the curry sauce. But the rest was dry and overcooked. I’ve not had food as bad for a long time. Complained to the waitress and she apologised, But it’s not her fault. I suggested she pass on my comments to the cook. Maybe it was because we ate at 18:00. Dried out food from the previous night??? There was no apology from the cook and I was not offered any discount Needless to say we will not be eating there again.
Cathy gardens Southport my wife ordered food last night Over £40nearly two hours later still not come rang them up they said would look into it and ring back which they did not after another twenty mins a just eat man came I said to him been waiting over two hours for the food he said he picked it up quarter an hour ago the whole food was cold rang them back the manager said complain to just eat it's a bad service never use them again
Don't bother ordering for delivery. Order through Southport Eats. Food was 15 mins late and had not been insulated so everything was cold. When approached through Southport Eats they were not willing to refund and have made no effort to contact us to apologise. Will not be ordering from them again.

Can’t rate the staff high enough went with my disabled mum and family for a meal they couldn’t have been any more helpful. The food was lovely very big portions yes the decor is tired but the staff and food more than made up for it. We weren’t rushed it was a great experience
As a large family of 9, we thoroughly enjoyed our NYE meal. The food was delicious (we got the Peking banquet). It was excellent value. The service was excellent and the manager owner took great care with my daughter’s sesame allergy. We are looking forward to returning.
This restaurant has very friendly and helpful staff, they couldn’t have been more accommodating. There was an abundance of food, too much really which was well presented and tasted great. Overall good experience and fairly priced.
Takeaway was cold and waiting in the just eat container even though I said I would collect at 7pm. I arrived at 6 45pm and it was lying in the bag. Food was unbeatable. Will never visit again £35 wasted

The staff are so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! Thank you for such an enjoyable evening and for making my mum's birthday very special. Would definitely recommend.
The food was amazing. The staff were so attentive and gave us 100% service. We would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back soon.
