This is not my kinda restaurant but was my dad's choice for his birthday dinner... dad's a basic meat potatoes, chain restaurant, kinda guy. Ha. Anyhow, I felt it was kinda overpriced for the restaurant caliber it was. Some 3-4 star prices with a 2 star service/restaurant. I went with the prime rib, smashed red potatoes, and the salad bar. I should've done without the salad bar (I think it was a $3.99 additional charge) but since I paid for it, I got my fill of it and took half my entree home. I haven't been here since the great restaurant shut down period. I don't come here for their steaks not that they are bad. I just like cooking my steak's on my wood pellet grill slow smoking them . But I do make this my salad bar choice accompanied with chicken fried steak or one of the other not steak choices. It turned out to be a good choice for lunch and I plan on coming back for the pork chops next time. Ever day a entree pears with the salad bar with different choices each day of the week a great value.
I love this place before the pandemic me and my husband use to cone twice a week just for the salad bar. We were finally able to come yesterday after about 2 years and it was just as good. We brought out kids and they really enjoyed themselves. The sald baris clean and fresh with plenty of options. Although they have many other options on the menu that we have tried throughout theyears which are wonderful, we really want a great place for a good salad.
We came in here on a Thursday night to give this place a second chance and they knocked it out of the park. We both got sirloins hers was the big one mine was with bourbon sauce and onion strings. Cooked perfectly very tender the homemade salad dressing was good. The rolls were fresh. I had broccoli was attach ever done but good she had loaded Redskin potatoes mashed and she love them. I will be back!!

Visiting Lexington for Road to the Horse 2024 and our 24th anniversary. Looked for a Steakhouse and found Cattlemans. Food was worth the wait on a busy night and service was good. Restaurant was clean and although it was busy everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. I had Strip steak Baked potato and added Coconut Shrimp which was amazing! Forgot to take a picture but everything was great!
We were in Louisville on business and decided to go to Cattleman?s it was the best choice! Our food was great! Our waitress was Kara-best server we?ve ever had hands down! Kara made our dining experience wonderful! Give that girl a BIG raise! Thank YouKara?we will definitely be back to see you! Mark and Veronica?? If you go here be sure to ask for Kara!
Headia (I think that's how you spell her name) apologizes if I got it wrong. But she was fantastic while waiting on at least 4 tables simultaneously while providing the best service. Didn't take long for our food to come out and it was delicious. Greatatmosphere, clean, and kid friendly. Hostess was polite and greeted us when we walked in.
9-27-23 about 8pm: Service was friendly. Tried the chili and it was very good. Then had Chicken Fried Steak x2 with mashed potatoes along with side of mac n cheese. All was very good, recommended.

We were seated promptly with no wait time. Our experience was enjoyable, and the staff was very friendly. The prime rib was excellent, and we also appreciated the salad bar.
