I'd never been here before, despite having worked just down the road for years. I was excited to try them, and they had a certain reputation and expectations that preceded them for me, that they easily exceeded when I got there. I only wish it was a tad less expensive, so I could eat there more often. But being that my budget issues are not their fault, I didn't hold this against them. What you get for what you pay is more than adequate, and the flavors are BOMB. I got their smoked chicken bacon ranch sandwich, which is HIGHLY recommended! Got two pulled pork sandwiches, a medium side of chili and a medium side of potato salad all for $47. The sandwich was alright but I didn’t want to finish it, it wasn’t actually pulled pork it was more like pork slices. I wasn’t a fan of their bbq sauce not very strong in flavor. The potato salad was too peppery and had a very bland taste. The chili wasn’t very good either. I won’t be returning, for what you get it was way too expensive. Was really looking forward to this place bc of all their best of kent plaques but the food was not good to me.
