Random brought us to this little restaurant. ...the door pushed, we found ourselves in the house of a family responsible for its past. ... We were in the old stable of the traditional dwelling of a winemaker, centuries old. An old stove effectively heats this room. The boss is very welcoming and very joker! A superb sauerkraut has been served, delicious and generous .... A treat! The fine torched apple pie ended up feasting our palate. Value for money is very sweet. We returned there in the evening without reservation. Too bad there was no room. We understand why! ...recommended reservation. We recommend this small address!
A real treat for the pallet and a welcome and kindness that are a reference. The chef at the kitchens, in suggestions, offered us a paste of vine in hot croute and its crudities. Their dishes are in abundant quantity and quality, finesse, and extraordinary taste. What a pleasure to have to wait a little bit for our dish, a sign of a real cooking job because the restaurant is small. It's the nice little restaurant and excellent as we love them! There you can enjoy a vineyard to fall served very copiedly. Everything is done at home and we return every year with the same pleasure. The owner who is a winemaker makes you discover his fine and delicate wines, he serves you even the dishes that his wife discreetly concocts in his kitchen. This couple gets you with a big smile, the boss is willing to joke with his charming Alsatian accent. It's simple, the decor is authentic. Once in these places lived a beautiful mare that lived very aegean.
Small getaway to Ammerschwihr for his empty attic. An unannounced stop at the Caveau de l'Ancienne Ecurie that we didn't know and we enjoyed a lot: the flambée pie generously garnished and delicious; about the meat paste (or viner turn) excellent. Nothing to say either on the rhubarb pie even if I found the price of the rhubarb a little exaggerated: €4.50 especially regarding the rest of the meal very affordable. Very nice discovery at the turn of our walk. It's all right, but it's homeless. The sauerkraut (is copyy and excellent (there was not this little taste of acidity). This winemaker welcomed us warmly and made us share his passions. She's the lady in the furnaces. We spent a very good time and left delighted with this beautiful discovery.
