My wife and I purchased a frozen Shepards pie from our local Market Basket. We had high expectations based on the price tag. We were extremely disappointed, easily one of the worst, if not the worst Sheppard Pie we ever had. The pie did contain a goodamount of filling, however, the pie was extremely dry and lacked any flavor what so ever. The pie also contained a strange mushytexture in the meat and the corn was still crispy. The pie itself cooked for 100 minutes to achieve the 170 internal temp in themiddle, but then had to be broiled for an additional 2 minutes to obtain some browning on the top. Definitely don?t recommendtheir distribution frozen pies but in fairness I can?t speak for their store front products .
I bought a frozen chicken pot pie veggies in it) and it was ok. Then two weeks later I mistakenly bought one of your chicken pies and it was awful. The chicken was rubbery and the pie had a very odd flavor. You really need to learn about seasoning food.Maybe you could call Marie Callendar and she could advise you. Luckily I bought both of these frozen pies on sale at Big Ybecause they are not worth the full price that you're asking for them.

Maybe it?s because we ordered the frozen pies by mail but both chicken and shepherds were a big disappointment. And they were expensive. Chicken with no vegetables was unhealthy and boring. Shepherds only had mashed potatoes and corn and it lackedflavor. I can make much better at home.
