A wonderful experience. This is a very small terraced restaurant with street parking right outside. You have a small menu, but everything was absolutely excellent! We had the Yagerschnitzel with sparrows and sauerkraut and the Schnitzel-Special with a dijon cream sauce. We had chocolate cake with almond crust for the desert. Everything was freshly cooked (we could hear that the cook pounded from the scavenger). The meat was super delicate and the bread was perfectly crispy. The sauerkraut was perfect (not too sour or bland), and the spetzels were definitely made at home. The desert should die. Top it off with super friendly and attentive service and you can see why this place is so high rate...

Big little hole in the wall restaurant. Food tastes amazing and the German beer is also delicious. Definitely very close, if not authentic German foods. The only 2 disadvantages to this place (but I could not justify a 4 star rating for), it is very small so that 4 people are lined together on a small table and it was extremely warm at night we were there. Not sure if they don't have A/C or if it was easy, but it was really warm. Great server and really nice local feeling. You will put you on a waiting list when you are busy, just walk around the corner and hang at the English pub.

The food here is great! Large portions, great sides and the most perfect, slightly broken schnitzel. It is a limited menu, but if you are a carving lover, then that is the place to go! We went to an early dinner, got a table easy, but the waiting time for the food was practiced. Our food arrived only an hour after the order. If you want to eat here, I recommend you order for pickup and avoid waiting for the person. Nevertheless, I still give this place 5 stars because the food was fantastic. Limited parking spaces in the area and a few paid parking garages within a few blocks.

I was on top of Mt.Schnitzel and it is Cafe Rustika in RVA. You think you already had schnitzel? I laugh about you. This place will blow your puny ideas of Schnitzel from the water. Not only the carvings, but also the sides are a perfect execution of their substance. And then there's the beer. You may have 4 beers on tap, any excellent source and served. The employees are passionate about what they use here. This is one of the few perfect restaurants I've ever been to.

Finally found the best German food in town. We definitely missed the food from Europe and the food gave us a nice little memory of the European cuisine.
