Chalet Binii - Reserva de mesa

We visited this restaurant on our first outing in more than a year, so we had high expectations. The location: The restaurant offers magnificent views of the Rhone Valley, the city of Sion, and the surrounding Alps. The food: We had unremarkable perch fillets most likely frozen and a risotto valaisan a risotto with a local twist which was reasonable but nothing to write home about. The accompanying salads looked fresh but were ruined with a supermarket dressing on top. Service: OK, but the waitress tending to a neighboring table was constantly coughing and wore only a face shield without a mask, which was not particularly reassuring in these covid times. Wir waren zu 10 am 12.Okt 2019 zum Nachtessen hier.Wir hatten Fondue Bacchus mit Rind und Hirschfilet (45. mit vielen Beilagen (Pommes, Gemüse usw. Dazu gab es 6 verschiedene selbstgemachte Saucen.Alles war sehr fein udn in genügender Menge.Als Vorspeise hatten wir eine Humagne Rouge Suppe mit Walliser Trockenfleich und überbacknenem Töpfchen (15. . Auch diese Spezialität des Hauses war sehr gut.Dazu tranken wir diverse Weine des lokalen Winzers "Cave cornulus Den Pinot Noir Clos des Corbassieres 2018 , den Clos des Monzuettes Cornalin 2018 und den Johannisberg 2018. Alle waren fein und passten gut zu den Speisen.Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und speditiv.

Enchanting place... helpful staff. What can we say about the spelling error decorating the most delectable Valais grape variety, namely FENDANT and not its alter ego mentioned in the online map LE FENDENT... Inadmissible error for a place claiming to be from the local terroir.. is it so difficult these days to reread your texts before publication????
