Tried here after reading reviews about being good value. On the positive side, big terrace and lots of seating inside so we had no trouble getting a table when we stopped just after Good easy to access location just across from the Caron/Cairn gondolas....Self-service so quick to get our food. Husband and kids all went for croque Madame’s which they all enjoyed. I’m gluten-free so there was very limited choice... I had soup in the hope it was gluten free. (Feel ok few hours later so think it must have been ok) Drinks wise we had bottle wine and small bottle water. Cost which I wouldn’t say was great value for a self service place. There are good indoor/outdoor spaces here to rest up and eat/drink in between skiing moments. Ideally situated between and, Moutiere chairs and two gondolas, you can get re-charged and hydrated ready for the ski-day that remains. Good selection of self-service food on one side...of the chalet' (soup/coffees for us), while on the other side, there is seating and bar areas to enjoy. Better still, if conditions permit it, sit outside and get that view! Good service very apparent but don't bring your packed lunch here! The service includes a vigilance for the picnic people with their boxes/sacs.....

We typically like a light lunch while skiing hard in the Alps. No fondues for us midday. Trouble is, the higher you go on the mountains, so do the lunch prices. We discovered this Chalet at the bottom of the Moutieres and Cairn Gondola which...gave us exactly what we wanted. A huge bowl of hot soup with trimmings eu), a bun and free water! Some other places we paid eu and even eu for a bowl of soup! And we had to pay for water. So we must have eaten here times over a two week period. Different soup each time. Our Canadian dollar was at exchange so it adds up. Enjoy!!

After a hard morning's skiing I was ready for something substantial to eat. The friendly chefs talked me into the plat du jour which was ribs with BBQ sauce. It came with sizeable chinks of ribs, a vegetable soufflé and roast potatoes. The ribs...were a bit fatty but tasted delicious. For dessert I took a classic lemon tart which was very good. I had a large coffee, which was really good. for is not cheap but the quality is good , it has friendly staff and good toilets, so it is worth it. Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant became our usual lunch stop when we were skiing in the Val Thorens area. My son raved about the linguini carbonara, and my wife and I tended to have the excellent home made soups. There is a sunny terrace for when the weather...permits eating outside but we tended to sit inside by the fire. The staff were really friendly, especially in the kitchen self service area. Visited twice last week on holiday and been there countless times. They have made improvements over the years to its facilities and food. Good value compared to other restaurants in VT. Large sum terrace so easy to get table even for large groups. Food generally...good. Very busy at Advise get thee around for early lunch to avoid queues.

We gave it a try times. The only redeeming feature are the young staff who are friendly and professional. Two owner ladies are most rude people and made each visit an unpleasant experience. I also witnessed a distressed guy, whose skis were stolen from...outside the place. Plenty of other more pleasant places to visit in VT.

Just returned from Val Thorens for the second time and this is by far our favourite place to eat on the mountain. The food is fresh, varied and delicious! The coffee and drinks are great, too. I would recommend trying the plat du jour, as...we did several days. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great chilled out cafe right by the Cairn/Caron gondolas. Friendly staff, quick service, good coffee. One of very few spots playing decent music.

Decent food, slightly cheaper than the ones up the mountain, good atmosphere, nice views, we loved this place.
