Chalet de la Marine

A bit disappointed in the provision of good skiing restaurants on the Val Thorens piste - many overpriced for simple burgers and pizzas in very unauthentic settings. This was the best of the bunch however - still quite pricey ( but where isn't in ski resorts!) but a good menu with tasty food. does tend to get busy after 1230 so would recommend arriving early for lunch.

The service is impeccable and friendly but the portions are on the small side, except the desert buffet. Beware that monster queue for the loo as there is only one for the restaurant and for the self-service.

The food was fantastic , found by chance due to white out! Would definitely go back again , it was that good we did eat twice there

Always the perfect spot to take a lunch in the winter sun and a beer in the deckchairs. I love wintersport in Val Thorens.

Great view, great service, great food, great wine...... Be careful on the slopes on the way back down
