We went yesterday for afternoon tea. Lovely venue and were welcomed and seated by a lovely member of staff. We got our coffees fairly quickly but the other drinks we ordered, including the Bellinis did not come till we were half way through our afternoon tea. The Champagne Bar was very busy, could probably done with more staff. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were nice enough but not enough savouries for the price paid. Had a drink in the bar area afterwards and wine prices very expensive.
our love to grand central here at sfr is well known, in fact there are already two reviews on this website, one for the restaurant tempus and one for drinks in champagne central. our dear to afternoon tea and all sweet should also be obvious, our first review was ever from the willow tea rooms and so if the offer of rose afternoon tea at champagne central for two at a reduced price of £34 compared to the usual price of £70 it was a tempting to ignore.

Went late afternoon,staff unfortunately do not have a plan in place for table service,my friend and I actually became very embarrassed for how shocking it was. We feel they for the prices thru charge everything should gloe effortless staff must be trained to a higher standard.
A shabby bar in need of some love. Restaurant are stinking of bad oil. Limited menu not great value for money. Three tiny ‘fish cakes’ mor potato than fish at £9 not great. Chips came with some wierd inedible mayonnaise …avoid

The upscale bar has friendly staff but the experience was soured by the music. It was so terrible that we had to cut our visit short and leave.

This restaurant is a sophisticated spot to enjoy a few drinks in a beautiful setting.
