A delightful commissary for my stay<br/ <br/ I had the opportunity to enjoy an extended stay at the Marriott Surfers Paradise and ended up using the Chapter Verse as my 'commissary ' eating and/or drinking here more or less once every day.<br/ <br/ The steak sandwich is stellar it is in fact the only dish I ordered more than once. The chicken sandwich was also quite good but the dish I found to be most surprisingly delicious was the Caesar salad. It was packed with flavor some nicely roasted chicken (not just dry breast meat), a poached egg, plenty of Parmesan cheese, and some nicely done croutons combined with a tasty Caesar dressing and crisp lettuce and was both 'light ' and satisfying. Chapter and Verse is a beautifully positioned hotel bar/lounge with a refined indoor area and relaxed outdoor seating. During my stay at the Marriott, I enjoyed spending time having a drink (excellent cocktails! on the deck. Food is delicious too- the pizzas are a must try. Service was of a high standard. However my biggest gripe is that this is far too overpriced! $5.50 for an average quality small sized take away coffee is ridiculous!
Prior to attend a conference at Marriott Hotel in one of the Sunday mornings, I went past this bar lounge and suddenly felt like to have a cup of coffee. Took a seat at the indoor area (I am the only one sitting inside) looking around the venue while I had my first sip of the coffee. My soul was indulged in its relaxing vibe.....What a wonderful feeling!
Thanks so much to the wonderful team there who accommodated us today for high tea on short notice when our other booking elsewhere was apparently lost. Worked out for the best because we enjoyed a truly beautiful high tea overlooking the pool and we were blown away by the delicious food and great service. Thanks everyone, we'll definately be back!

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff especially Paige and Terry for the outstanding service and making my baby shower the best baby shower ever! Excellent service. So friendly and accomodating. The pizza is delicious and so full of flavour. The English breakfast tea was refreshing and kindly topped up at no charge by the lovely Julia.
