Charlie Gitto's 'on The Hill

I am from out of state, and I always look forward to eating at Charlie Gitto’s On The Hill when I am in STL. I have probably eaten there at least ten times in the past 15 years. When I ate there about a year ago, I remember commenting that it was not as good as it used to be, and my experience there last night did not anywhere near live up to the enjoyment that I have had in my earlier visits. not my first visit here, more precisely to this outlet. amazing Italian tariff with excellent service and a great wine selection. few favorites of my visit, the crab toque, tasteful, creamy and an eating of itself. / the buttered garnels were a joy and the chicken rigatoni i tried was subtle with aromen super tasty. Beautiful ambiente, especially the outside seats in sommer, need to visit my next booze meal.

incredible service and eating! we had a great waiter who really raised the charm of an already charming place! He really made us feel, we were special guests, although we were only average haha! as far as eating is concerned, I can highly recommend the french woof, seafood risotto and brotpudding. also a bite of my men chocolate cake: a! when they have the coins, they go here!

The food was decent with generous portions, but the sauces were lacking in flavor and were too sweet. The red sauce seemed to be store-bought. I had higher expectations for this restaurant. The pasta was the highlight, as it was freshly made. It appears that this restaurant is living off its past reputation and is headed in the wrong direction.
