The food at Charlie's BBQ Grille was fantastic—I had the fried flounder and okra, and it was excellent. My father really enjoyed his BBQ sandwich, the Great Duke, and the beans. While I usually rave about the quality of the food, what truly stood out was Charlie himself. He came over to take my father's order. Since my father recently suffered a stroke and has been struggling with small tasks, Charlie showed a huge amount of kindness and compassion. He insisted we sit down, took care of our order right at the table, and even stayed for a while joking and laughing with us. That was such a sweet gesture that truly made our day. I’m really glad I stopped by Charlie’s today. It was my first time, but definitely won’t be my last. Everyone was incredibly welcoming—from the kind cashier to the friendly owner. Charlie even came out to introduce himself and talk with the guests. I loved the burnt ends, hush puppies, and sweet tea. The service was quick, and the prices were fair. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
I have known Charlie, who owns this restaurant, since we were young children. His BBQ is distinctive and delicious in a state that takes great pride in BBQ. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's the kind of neighborhood place where regulars aregreeted by name with a smile.
Had a great BBQ burger. The meat was amazing, very tender cooked to a perfection! The prices very adorable as well, providing great quality/price value! Charlie was there as well, we had a great talk! Definitely coming back when I am in the area!

Delicious, tender barbecue with an amazing sauce. The Brunswick stew is the best I’ve ever tasted. I had the pleasure of meeting who I believe was Charlie—very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning!
I ordered the catfish meal, and it was delicious! I really enjoyed the thick-cut fries and the okra. This place offers better value compared to Smithfield. I can't wait to come back for more!

Excellent, and the food is out of this world. Charlie makes this place and Charles personal touch with everyone makes everyone feel special. Highly recommend.
Always a friendly place. Meat has good smokey flavor. Excellent veggies.
