TLDR: Excellent Laotian food, mediocre Thai. Highlights were the Lao sausage, Lao Pho and Savanh Jerky. Don't bother with the drunken noodles or banh mi. Go at happy hour for cheap drinks and apps!Vibe: 4/5. Went on a Thursday night and we were the only table in the entire restaurant. There were several 4 tops and a small bar seating area. Decor is pretty basic with the exception of the large elephant logo painted on a brick wall in the main dining room.Service: 5/5. There was only 1 person working both the bar and restaurant, however he did a fantastic job. Orders were taken quickly and did a great job filling cocktail orders as well as running our food. On top of that, he was also manning...

I am originally from the Dallas/Ft-Worth area where we have a very large lao american community and many options for lao kitchen. this is one of my favorite restaurants to go when I feel like homesick. the kow piek tastes just like my mother makes it, a hot, hearty, comforting broth rich with tapioca noodles and cuts of huh. the gurkensalat is spicy and refreshing like my brother. the savanh ruck is thin and full of umami, and with sticky rice, makes the perfect snack or appetizer. I love how when it comes to their Laos menu, they do not try to water the taste to delight western palate. for me it tastes like home and that is what I love about this restaurant

I wanted to eat a few days ago for a birthday dinner. my man and I are vegetarian and don't eat fish. the vegan menu was limited to an imitation fish soup and vegan web mi, but there were other curry/noodle dishes with tofu so that we did not get too worried about options. at the order we were told tofu included fish and there was no possibility to make other dishes vegan. for us it felt misleading to have tofu as an option on the menu if not vegan. we've gone to the end.

Delicious! Been wanting to try charming elephant for quite some time and finally was able to stop in for happy hour and 25% off noodles. Everything was delicious. We got the fried chicken and egg rolls off the happy hour menu. The Khao piak was amazing. We split all of this between us and we left stuffed . Definitely will be back to try everything else Reserva una mesa ahora

Charming Elephant is incredible! I have been wanting to try their food for a while, and I was blown away by just how delicious everything was. Each dish was unique with a different sauce accompanying it, and I loved every one of them! The service was great as well. I plan to come back very soon.

Nice meal here! The pad se ewe was just okay maybe the noodles were a little undercooked? but the vegan massaman curry was good. And I love their selection of vegetarian and vegan choices, and the mango sticky rice.Vegetarian options: Several options under the vegan and vegetarian section.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. I’m vegetarian and get the Laab Souy Sticky Rice. The mango and sticky rice is also absolutely to die for. My friends who eat meat get the Pad Kapow and absolutely love it
