the menu we proposed was extremely unbalanced. two tiny appetizers, a tiny main course, followed by 3 very sweet unnecessary gloomy. we have starved and saturated with sugar. we expected some creativity, there were some, but there was no deep. in any of the courses that were served us. where were the complex aromes that should be experienced in a Michelin star restaurant? a restaurant that calculates customers 3 times the price of an average reasonable restaurant should not only be average. the worse of all courses was the tomatenkurs. introduce yourself to a court that was mainly made from a tireless tomato leaf that could be bought in a super market in januar. if the cook knew that the qua...
Always a great time at this table. Every anniversary of marriage is a must for us; a surprise this year: the opening of the room in extension... Pretty amazing and detonating! But after all, is it not in the magic of the place to surprise us? The sheep will not say otherwise... The "revisited" meurette egg is exceptional and really deserves the detour to itself; for the rest, the habit of the house wants to keep the secret of the menu; without spoiling more: everything was excellent. Thanks also to the service to be always present, benevolent and especially accessible and without excess of zeal. It is for all these reasons that we are and will remain faithful to this institution. We're going to surprise you in this beautiful castle. Between the old and the modern ultra, we let ourselves embark by this serenity atmosphere. An ancestral dish welcomes you in this simply magical place. The cuisine is sublimated by the wide choice of the cellar The tastefully decorated rooms offer you the expected rest. The pool is beautiful, the color games soothe you. Thanks to the people who took care of us during this too short stay, their kindness, their smile and their availability are the sign of a large house. I strongly recommend this trip which is only 2 hours from Lyon.
At the restaurant level it was absolutely perfect. The castle is beautiful. Our room Marly was beautiful but not worthy of a 5-star indeed, the edredon that covered the bed was stained what seems rather aberrant for this kind of place... In addition, there were spider canvases on the ceiling frankly seen the price of the room is not serious... as much the restaurant deserves 5 stars but the room no more than 3 stars ... Ah and the spritz at 24 euros we will remember Reserva una mesa ahora
we had a gastronomic experience here. the chef who is from mauritius is very talented. innovative ideas for perfection. Pannacotta style starter with lots of truffle, foie gras mousse cream brule, estragoneis cream with obst and meringue, a dessert to die for with chocolate...fondant and vanilla ice cream.
we know that the taste of each person is different and so is the appreciation of a restaurant. the amuses were floating, the fish was full of bones and that was filled with tendons. the cheese was ok and the chef apologised, but they expect more when they eat in such a restaurant.
