Château Eza - Reservar una mesa

This was our second visit to Chateau Eza, the first a couple of years ago. Standards have definitely slipped in that time. Don't get me wrong, the food was lovely and the views are priceless, but when you're spending over 400€ on a lunch for two somehow it's the little things that make the difference. On arrival we were told that strong winds were coming so we had to sit inside. But we had a drink outside on the terrace in 35°C temperatures in direct sun - of course the parasols had been removed for safety, but there was no breeze at all, let alone the "Force 8 or 9" gales supposedly forecast. As you probably know, Chateau Eza is perched on top of a hill, with breathtaking views. It worth going for the view alone. What delighted us though was that it also has top class food and service. First of all, the reception.... when we walked in (family of four), they asked our name and immediately knew about our reservation. We were asked if we would like to start with drinks on the terrace, which we did. The drinks were served promptly, competently and with a small plate of nibbles to keep us going. When we were ready we simply got up and walked into the restaurant where the staff knew our reservation and guided us to an excellent table. Menus arrived with a smile and the excellent waiter...

My husband and I ate here today for lunch, July 29, 2017. As introverted HSPs we were overboard excited that our request to sit on the little terrace (with only one other table) was granted. We ate here twice (once on the small terrace and once on the large terrace) during an anniversary trip 2 years ago, and I feel like the food has gotten even better. First of all the view, wow, the view. On top of the world and pretty much a private dining experience, you can't go wrong with the little terrace. I watched a visitor study the menu and ask the maitre'd questions and thought to myself, "it doesn't matter what the food is like, you're coming here for the killer view!". Three of us were there for lunch (reservations strongly recommended). Food was exquisite, and service even better. But the real star was the view over the Cote d'Azur that was stunning from high atop the hilltop village of Eze. Be aware that the walk up is quite steep. Cars can only go up a certain distance, and the rest of the way up is by narrow walkways and stairs. I have been to Chateau Eza twice in the last 2 weeks and plan to go again next week. It was one of the best meals I have had in the French Riviera in the past 10 years. The food was delicious and the attention corn the staff was even better. Everyone was wonderful to deal with and we're friendly, cheerful and helpful. Go for the prix fixed lunch - it is wonderful. The carrot sorbet is delicious, the duck breast is perfect and all 3 desserts are sublime - I am a chocolate fanatic, so the Black Chocolate was excellent.

Was recommended here by a friend. We called to book but there wasn't any slots available. However I thought when we get there we should try our luck and luckily they could seat us. The views are beautiful and the food and service were exceptional. It's not a place you eat and leave. It's an experience of enjoying your wine and relaxing as you eat. Im dairy free and they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend but expect to be there for 2 hours

This restaurant is stunning! the interior is charming and elegant. This luxurious restaurant serves great food, and with a view! I had the Duck from Challans for dinner with local wine, all the flavoures where excellent and just what you want after a relaxing day in the village. Great service and attention to our party. We had five in the family that evening meal. My Granddaughter had a special request and the chef was able to meet her request. The meal was outstanding. The service was outstanding. The view was outstanding. The Manager and the staff are very friendly and do everything to make your experience outstanding.

Outstanding service and amazing tastes.. 6 meals over 3 nights. All were impeccable. Some private dining for a special occasion. Of course, views should be outstanding as reward to get here.

For such a location, the price is fair hence it was full when we had lunch there. Food was tasty and the service was perfect. Booking is essential.
