Our family had a fabulous experience at Stars! Our server, Todor, was such a pleasure! We can’t say enough about his level of service! Our drinks were very good and there was an extensive wine list. We started with the little gem salad which was tasty, the blue fin tuna was delicious as well. The poached lobster was ordered by myself and our two adult children. It was phenomenal! My husband had the bistro filet with shaved truffles and he enjoyed it very much as well! We had the s’more dessert and the ice cream selection to end the evening. It was such an amazing evening. The service at Stars restaurant was excellent, as was the wine and coffee. Our meals were disappointing with my over cooked halibut and my husband’s over cooked scallops. The cabbage with my halibut was like kimchi too spicy for me) and the mushrooms on top of the fish were even spicier. After we returned home, family told us that Chatham Bar Inn is not known for good food. I had hoped to find a special spot we would return to year after year, but this is not it.
Service was excellent. The issue was my husband’s filet- he requested medium rare after discussing with the waiter and explained he wanted it pink but not cold and red. It arrived very red and not cooked at all inside. It was sent back and we waited, but my meal had already arrived. I ended eating by myself. When it came back most of it was cooked fine, but one section still was cold inside. It was so disappointing, especially since it was our 40th anniversary!!
Our server was wonderful! But the Tomahawk steak was awful, it was full of fat and definitely not worth the money, the scallops were really good. That was the first night of our vacation and just not a great start.

Not good enough for the exorbitant prices. Food choices were okay and some dishes were fresh (with food from their farm) and tasty. Fish was overcooked. Table was not decorated. Wine was not decanted.
Exceeded our expectation. Service outstanding and wonderful menu combined with beautiful ambience looking out at ocean could not be beat! Our waiter John completed a wonderful experience
Wonderful meal and exceptional service. Probably the only restaurant in Chatham that can deliver at this level. Totally satisfied with our experience. Looking forward to returning soon!
Reservation was moved outdoors on a rainy night due to closure of main dinning area. Very poor substitute at these prices
