I initially gave Checkers 5 stars because it was one of the best places for checkers I'd visited in a long time. Unfortunately, my rating has dropped to two stars. This isn’t a reflection on the daytime staff, who are always friendly, ensure orders are correct, and serve fresh food and soda. However, my experiences with the night crew have been disappointing on at least three occasions. The cashiers are often rude and impatient, frequently get orders wrong, attempted to double charge me for a soda I never received, and missed items like straws and condiments or gave the wrong sizes. I hope a manager at Checkers sees this review and recognizes the amazing service I received on 9/10/22 at 9:05 pm. The woman working the drive-thru window on the right side—though I don’t know her name—truly deserves a raise! I added a last-minute buffalo sauce to my order, and she assured me it would be included in our bag. After being asked to pull forward and park for our order, a man brought our food out. There was a woman at the right-side drive-thru whose name I don't know, but she truly deserves a raise! I requested some buffalo sauce at the last minute, and she promised to include it in our bag. The only highlights of our meal were the Coke and the mozzarella sticks. Unfortunately, they messed up the featured burger by using American cheese instead of Swiss and failed to include the Parmesan-dusted onion. If there were supply issues related to the burger, they didn't inform us. The half-pound chicken bite box was mostly fries and contained less than half a pound of chicken bites. I went to the walk-up window to place my order, but saw a sign saying WALK UP IS CLOSED. Since I didn’t have a vehicle for the drive-thru, I still wanted to order and pay at the window. I knocked, and a worker answered. I asked if she could take my order despite the sign, and she kindly agreed. I enjoyed my food, but I suggest Checkers reconsider closing the walk-up window. They’re missing out on a lot of business—two other customers were turned away by the sign and said they wouldn’t be returning. Checkers, think this through.
Since the new management took over, the service has declined significantly. I was informed that I couldn’t place an order at the drive-thru because I wasn’t in a vehicle, yet the windows are closed for service indefinitely. After experiencing multiple issues with rude staff, receiving the wrong food, and not getting the correct change, I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere. I will no longer be visiting Checkers and Rally's. I do not recommend this place.
This is the best Checkers in town! I had a great experience with the cashier; he was fantastic at providing customer service. The team was quick, and my food came out super fast. Everything tasted delicious! I will definitely be back to see that guy in the blue shirt!
The food was delicious, but the only option is the drive-thru. Not everyone has access to a vehicle, and it’s not fair to turn away customers who walk up.
