We didn't know how to order. Food looks good on the pictures but is extremely heavy and make you full very quickly. We ordered cheese curd and found it breading was overhelmingly excessive and cheese taste was lost. Mac and cheese balls are creative but is very heavy and make you regret to eat another. Cheesier’s was the right place to go to sober up after a few drinks in Wrigleyville. Our grilled cheeses were served a little on the slow side for a grilled cheese but were exactly what I needed at the time. I had the Mozzarella grilled cheese and my friend had the Edger which I will say tasted amazing. I agree with Berny’s comments on the menu being some what intimidating but next time I’m in Wrigleyville Ill be sure to stop by Chessie’s before the night is over.
Look. if they are a native, they probably don't have their first sober here, and there will be some of the best drunk they've ever had. But if you come back sober, it will still be delicious. exactly what it says on the label; good, fast, grilled cheese and roasted food. they expect nothing funny, and they will always be pleasantly surprised how good their meal is. do not sleep on the fried pickles.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, and the service is quick and welcoming. Although it may seem like a cash-only spot, it offers some of the best bar food I have ever had. Be sure to try something with cheese, as it is hard to resist here. The cheese curds I had in Wisconsin and Minnesota were just as delicious, if not better, than what I had there.

The location is excellent and the food is amazing! I tried the popper and it was fantastic! The cheese curds, being from Wisconsin, could use some improvement. However, overall the meal was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the beer selection was great! I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Chicago!
You're probably thinking who goes to a restaurant for a grilled cheese? But this place was actually pretty good! Ordered the caprese sandwich and had cheese curds and fried pickles. It's open late so I'm sure it makes a good stop after your drunken outings. I would leave my house again for their grilled cheeses.
Went for a quick bite after a nearby comedy show and ordered the basic grilled cheese sandwich OMG sooooooo good!!! I really wanted a second sandwich it was so good. There's about 8 different sandwich options, a bar, it's kid friendly and the food is awesome sauce! Give it a try.
The food was on the salty side and a bit dry. The gentleman taking order was probably new since it took a long time to process the order of two simple sandwiches. The bartender seemed cool though. Overall a chill place to hangout but won’t come just for the food.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today and was not disappointed. The bartender, Scott, was excellent and very attentive, he even took the time to have some friendly conversations. The pulled pork and coleslaw grilled cheese was delicious.
The staff super friendly and engaging. Food is phenomenal. Grilled cheese unlike your Mom used to make.
