Okay so I had no idea that this cafe even did OTT milkshakes until I saw a post on Facebook. Before visiting this cafe, beware it is located within the Northgate Shopping Centre complex (accessed from Main Rd) located in Glenorchy which can offer a cultural experience in itself with the locals. Upon venturing into the cafe it is fairly unremarkable-if we had not specifically attended for the OTT milkshakes we would have been none the wiser that they actually make them. There are no big signs displaying photos of the OTT milkshakes-they're just listed under the 'drinks' section of the menu. I stopped here to meet a friend for coffee.A very pleasant young man greeted us as soon as we arrived.The menu looked simple and uncomplicated.The food that was on display looked nice however I did not eat anything as I was put off by the young man asking the waitress to deliver drinks to another table while handing her a complimentary cookie in his ungloved hand.He then proceeded to scratch his rear end.The coffee I had was nice but only just warm.We stayed for another drink in which I asked for a pot of tea which was half full and a dirty spoon on the side, a cookie was neighbouring on the plate and although looked nice I did not eat it.I would give it another go as perhaps it was an off d...
Being a fan of *Freakshakes* (ridiculously over the top milkshakes) I was happy to know that there was a place near to where I was staying that made them. I had a good conversation with the owner about the rise of the weird milkshakes and all the places I've been to and seen in Melbourne. It's something she wants to explore more :)It was a very busy place which is always good to see. And the service was good, I often heard them explaining to customers about the shakes :D
My friend and I often meet here, as you can always get a really good coffee. The service is great and we have had a couple of really nice hot lunch meals but there is not much variety. The food is sometimes already cooked and put in containers in the bain marie, so if you want a quick, hot lunch they are very good.

After a morning of shopping, I decided to stop by Cheffies and I'm so glad I did. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the freshly cooked food was really delicious. The coffee was hot and tasty.
A casual Vietnamese cafe tucked away in an unusual industrial area in Derwent Park offers a great selection of banh mi sandwiches, which, in my opinion, are the highlight of the menu.
