We’ve just had a fantastic two course Sunday lunch at Chelsea Tearoom in Somersham. Because it’s so small you have to book well in advance and specify Sunday lunch as all food is cooked to order before you arrive. We were asked of roast beef was ok at the time of booking. And it was more than ok really tender, tasty beef served with roasties, Yorkshire pudding, baby carrots and delicious sprouts with bacon. One of the best roasts we’d ever eaten out. Yesterday evening, my party and I enjoyed a "picnic" experience at The Chelsea Tearooms in Somersham. Despite the poor weather, the chef André arranged for us to sit socially distanced in the plant nursery, ensuring our comfort. The meal itself was fantastic. André's culinary skills and artistic presentation shone through in every dish. Each of us received a cardboard box filled with picnic food, accompanied by a delightful salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing. The highlight of the meal was the traditional South African Potbrood, small bread rolls made by André in the oven, served hot with cheese and apricot jam. Andre treated us to delightful, freshly baked cheese scones, decadent cheesecake, and the most amazing sandwiches we've had since before lockdown. Even our picky toddler finished his plate! Pairing these delicious dishes with our chilled beverages made for a delightful garden picnic and a much-needed reprieve from our usual cooking routine. It transformed a simple lunch into a fun adventure. The food is flavorful, reasonably priced, and consistently high quality - we will definitely be returning for this delightful picnic experience every week.
My husband and I wanted to find somewhere reasonably nearby where we could just pop out for a quick lunch snack to relieve the boredom of house and home! We found the Chelsea Tea Room! It's so pretty in there! Beautifully decorated and appealing. Bonus? The tables do not wobble which you find in so many places and which is so annoying. These tables had solid netal bases which kept them steady and gave more leg room. Good sensible choices on the Menu. Clean and cheerful. A good choice. We'll be back.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, but it definitely won't be my last! Louise, the owner, provided lovely and friendly service. There were six of us in our group, and we all chose different cakes to try. I ordered the special cheese bacon scone, which did not disappoint. The cappuccino was also delicious and hot. Next time, we plan to visit for lunch and try one of Andre's homemade curries or lasagne. The prices were great too. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
After a walk five of us visited for lunch,service and food were excellent and all at a reasonable price. Very busy but still didn’t have to wait long for the drinks and food.good choice of food and drinks. Well worth a visit
We were very warmly welcomed. And had the hard decision to make the choice of which cake to have. We can highly recommend the ginger. chocolate and coffee cakes. Coffee was lovely and smooth. Would visit again.
What a beautiful little tearoom. Where the food is all home made and the atmosphere is home from home. We had a lovely light lunch and delicious cakes for tea. We'll worth the visit and we will be returning.

What a find! Recommended to us by friends and it certainly fulfilled all promises. Excellent home made cakes etc tea served in a china tea pot and cups and saucers as it ought to be. Faultless.
Really lovely little place we have been to regularly. Fresh food and service with a smile from the owner. Homemade lasagne is particularly good and fresh cakes always available
