My husband bought me a bobs burgers cake for my birthday yesterday, the cake overall look absolutely beautiful and everybody in my group loved it. It got over 900 likes the macaroons taste amazing but the cake itself not so muchEdit:they said its what the cake was supposed to look like, they said the person who made was suppose to tell me..Calling the store and will update when i can but from the looks of it from other reviews i wont get a refund and we spent 92$Update:they got back to me and offered me macrons which is great ! They were super friendly and apologized for the inconvenience!
Many people recommend their croissants, so I was excited to give them a try! I got a butter croissant, a pain au chocolat, as well as a latte. The croissants were so, so bad. Super thick dough with no flakiness and absolutely no flavour. The drink was good, although they gave me a smaller size than I ordered. This business also claims to be accessible, but if you need to use the washroom, the staff has to move a huge coffee island to accommodate any type of mobility aid, larger bodies, etc... I would definitely not recommend Chess Piece.
It 's pricey for the really decadent pastries ' 'top shelf ' ' as they call it), but so worth it. 3 cakes cost $30+ tax from this top shelf). Lots of cheaper choices to be had, by the way, including lovely sandwiches. I went for the really good stuff and I haven 't had pastries like that since Europe. Lots to choose from, the staff are so nice. Just a lovely experience in a tiny little slice of Fredericton. Highly recommend. Second visit, not my last!
They told me I had to pay a deposit on a can of beer. Then poured it into a glass. I asked for my deposit back and the said they didn’t return deposits. But that it would be for a good cause. They didn’t mention the good cause but I suspect it’s the annual employee bonuses. Don’t care about the money just don’t like theft and fraud. Very nice cafe with warm and welcoming vibe. Staff here is very helpful and nice. They literally care about their customer and try to participate in a conversation if you want or start one. The lady in the front also helped me choose for what i want with my drink as it was my first time here.Definitely recommend it to everyone and will come back for sure again
Just wow! We ordered a couple of egg free desserts for our wedding an OMG! The Millefeuilles were so outstanding, I could give 1000 stars. Thank you so so much for the amazing desserts and for having them so fresh and delivered with such ease. Amazing service and amazing sweets!
Small and cozy place with variety of delicious desserts, sandwiches and beverages. We are going there usually for cakes and macaroons.There is a Chess Piece location in Fredericton airport, and you will not find the same deserts there, and service there unfortunately is poor.
