Chesters By The River

This is a charming little find. It was a delight to pick wild garlic on the way, only to taste it in a lovely pasta dish! The portions may seem small, but don't be fooled - they pack a lot in those little pots. The staff is very welcoming and the bakers are especially skilled. I couldn't get enough of the amazing rocky road. I definitely plan on returning more frequently!

We visited Chester's for the first time and were not disappointed. I ordered the poached eggs and my wife had the vegetarian kedgeree, both of which were delicious. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was lovely, making for a great dining experience. We definitely plan on returning when we are in the area again.

This restaurant is a fantastic discovery! I've only been here for a week, but I can't wait to come back. The salads and wood-fired pizzas are amazing. I also took some scones to go, and they were absolutely delicious! The shop is lovely, and taking a walk along the river to Langdale was a great experience.

We had our first visit to Chester’s yesterday! We loved it! Beautiful shop with lovely items for the home or gifts for loved ones, and amazing food! We tried a curried chickpea and sweet potato pastie....Absolutely delicious We stumbled across the shop whilst out on a walk, we’ll definitely be back! Reserva una mesa ahora

chesters is a wonderful vegetarian caffe directly at a very picturesque flow. the variety on the menu is great and the food tastes excellent. very friendly staff and good service. would definitely recommend this beautiful little caffe. also very doggy friendly, whatever is a bonus.

This restaurant is fantastic! I can only be here for a week and I can't wait to come back. The salads and wood-fired pizzas are amazing. I also got takeaway and it was out of this world. The business is beautiful and there is a beautiful walk along the river to Langdale.

Been visiting Chesters by the River for many years and is always a must when we are down in the Lakes. Just had coffee and a scone which were delious!! They were a good size and with the jam and cream, the best we have had!!
