The Pier Cafe - Reserva de mesa

I visited this café yesterday morning for breakfast and was surprised by the cold and unfriendly approach of the waitress towards me. It is unclear whether this was due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation. Upon entering the café wearing a mask and sanitizing my hands, the waitress simply asked, "What do you want?" without a greeting or offering assistance. I ordered breakfast and enjoyed a nice view of the lake while eating. My tea was served in a paper cup and my breakfast came in a take away box with wooden utensils. During our long weekend stay in Ambleside, we decided to take a stroll to Lake Windermere. We were in search of a cafe for a quick meal and stumbled upon the Pier Cafe. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The views were stunning, especially on such a beautiful day. The food was tasty - we ordered a small full English breakfast, a BLT baguette, and two cappuccinos. The total cost was £25. I would highly recommend a visit to this cafe and wouldn't hesitate to return if in the area again.

We popped into the Pier Cafe to get a coffee before we had a boat trip on Lake Windermere, when we arrived back we decided to go in again for some lunch. We were not disappointed and we had cheese and bacon melts, they were delicious and well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed by us both and just like to say the cafe itself was immaculately clean and well maintained with staff who cleared the tables once people had left.

Came here when in Ambleside. Friendly waiter and service and central to boats . Everything is in takeaway style because of covid which we understand however feel the baguette could have come with a side salad with the price we had paid . Nice and tasty tho , Reserva una mesa ahora

Warm and friendly (warm in every sense). Good coffee and cakes. Good place to wait for the lake cruise. (Just don’t ask to use the toilets if you’re not a cafe customer as I heard so many doing… they mean it)

Just to about ok charging over £5 for two teas albeit green and regular but when did the lakes get so pricey. It was clean and a throwback to the 70s as i dont think it has seen a make over since the 1970s

A lovely cafe overlooking lake Windermere . Very friendly staff and so efficient and helpful . Varied menu and our selection was first class . Plus a great selection of home made cakes like Rocky Road .

We always call at the Pier Cafe every time we visit Ambleside. Staff are always friendly and helpful. A great location overlooking Lake Windermere. We enjoyed a nice lunch. Well worth a visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

During our visit to Ambleside, we dined at The Pier Cafe twice. The staff were friendly and provided excellent, quick service. The menu offered plenty of options to choose from.

Another great vegetarian breakfast, including Quorn sausage. Everything cooked to perfection and very friendly staff
