Interesting French experience.We were not greeted very warmly by the front of house person but she did warm to us as the meal got under way. Typically, there is no choice for the lunchtime table d'hote and we were intrigued to see what dishes would be served.Both starters and mains were served 'family style' with large terrines being placed on the table for us to serve ourselves. The rustic pate starter was full on flavor and accompanied by crisp fresh bread. The fish dish was presented in puff pastry which was overcooked on the top and slightly burned on the bottom. Chez boulette could best be described as 'something else'.this is a real locals place where Monsieur And Madame Boulette turn out hearty four course lunches for fourteen euros.there are no choices here. You get whatever the Boulettes are serving on any particular day.nothing is skimped on . The highlight of my lunch was the entrecôte steak( not always a good choice in France) which was very nice and some specially tasty roast potatoes.This might not be every bodies cup of tea but if you are into a quality' workmans' lunch then you will enjoy this. If you find yourself in the Limousin area of France, book a table at this lovely restaurant in the village of Blonde. In the 'old fashioned' way, you get whatever is cooked fresh that morning. Five glorious courses for a small amount of euro - and they say France is expensive, not if you know where to eat! Usually you start with a beautiful, home made rough pate, with lots of crusty bread, this time it was followed by a rich creamy fish soup. It doesn't matter what time of year we decide to saunter through the village to end up at a table in Chez Boulette, the meal is always different and satisfyingly good. The only problem for us is that we need a siesta afterwards, so the afternoon requires writing off! The courses are too numerous to be honest, so it is best to pace yourself...and be careful with the amount that you eat for the starters. You will not get a choice of menu, that is the lovely surprise, variety is good. Recommend to all who wish to experience a trul French experience, oh and try your best to speak in French if you can!

This is a truly French experience. A no frills restaurant with great food. Five course meal plus coffee with wine for 18 Euros. Generous portions and such good value. The house terrine and their frisee aux lardons particularly delicious.
For our holiday cottage weekend, we called the catering service. Exceptional ratatouille, tasteful meats and delicious lasagna! Friendly welcome. I strongly recommend.
Strolled through village to Chez Boulette, warm and inviting as usual. Six delicious courses for 14€50, absolute value for money. Thankyou ????
