I wish i could be more positive about this restaurant experience but I can't. The food really was rather good. We chose the terroir menu. Both starters, œufs façon meurette and snails, were excellent. Main courses, the coq au vin was a tad on the...dry side, the beef cheek was cooked to perfection. Dessert of poached pear again was very good and so was the cheese selection. The problem was the service. Although the restaurant wasn't that busy the waiter was very rushed coming to ask us twice in 2 minutes if we had decided. My wife and enjoy fine dinning. So we were looking forward to dinning at Chex Gu and Rotisserie du Chambertin during our stay in Gevrey Chambertin. Our entrees at Chex Guy were chicken and steak. The chicken was quite dry and the steak was ‘tough’...and not overly flavorful (steak $42 Euros). Our evening was a huge disappointment. The pinot 150 Euros) was good. Our dinner was on Tuesday evening, only three tables had customers. Lessons learned why do I order steak, which I love, in Europe. The Charolais beef is never marbled. Lesson 2 a quality restaurant does not have an off nite especially with pedestrian entrees such as chicken and steak We do not recommend nor would we return to Chez Guy...

As one of only a few restaurants in Gevrey-Chambertin, you're bound to be tempted to eat here if you're spending any time there as a tourist. Don't bother. The service is comically bad, almost like a training video was being filmed of what not to...do. Considering the restaurant was packed full of tourists, the staff ignored everyone and were aloof too good for the tourist trade that kept them in business. The food was salty, bland and expensive. The wine list was a novel but all ridiculously priced (but welcome to Burgundy) and good luck trying ask the staff for help. Voilà.

a nice reception and the modern design in this gourmet restaurant have raised our expectations and we were not disappointed. the service was attentive during dinner and the various dishes were quite creatiw, well prepared and very well presented. everything tasted very good. the bottle. from Gevrey-Chambertin 2011 we were recommended was fabulous (the next day we managed to locate the manufacturer and buy a case) a whole very nice dinner experience and quite affordable. we were a little doubtful after reading the mixed reviews, but were happy that we came here. good service of the waiter poured wein for us, have seen this for one because not. we had 2 appetizers: escargots and eggs in Merette sauce (very good,) 2...Platten: coq au vin (average,) rinderwange (very good) and birne posing in pinot noir with black johannisbeeren sorbet (very good.) has been happy to the evening!

We have been to Chez Guy mutiiple times over the past years. The meals and the service have always been very good. Last night we enjoyed jambon persile and risotto starters and for mains the pork and the roast veal. All beautifully cooked and presented....The wine list looked great but I was unable to partake because of driving duties. I can strongly recommend Chez Guy

I had the 3-course lunch for 24€, which was an amazing deal (if you have kids they get an even better one: 12€).
