With its location perfectly set at the end of the harbor and overlooking the Basin with unobstructed views of the oysters fields and birds island , I was already under the spell! With a choice of terrasa al fresco or inside with panoramic windows , depending on weather or your mood, you can choose what's best .we chose inside, which was serendipitous because then , first you can go through the etalage or display of all this marvelous fresh seafood and fishes, see the "oh so natural" kitchen. We did not have a reservation but were seated at a small table on the terrace. Good so far. We ordered some oysters and shrimp. Several of the oysters looked as if they had been shucked hours before hand as they were dry as well as the mayo served with the shrimp. Ok but the food could have been better. We have been at many restaurants since we were here and almost all have had better presentation and most seemed a bit fresher. There was a live band thst started playing on the quai just as we started eating so it was very pleasant to listen as we dined. Overall it was a decent seafood joint but nothing to write home about.
This restaurant is the purest tourist trap including bad service. We had tuna which was really not good, pre-prepared with lots of ropes. The tables are covered with linoleum. When serving the waiter spilled the juice of the plate on the clothes of my daughter (that why the linoleum), no apology he just continued running and sweating! When I payed I told the lady owner I was disappointed, then the other waiter invited me to a fistfight! Asterix and Obelix revisited. To be avoided at all price!
The restaurant is a good place for reliable, fresh seafood. The usual crustaceans and molluscs are available, plus daily fish specials (I had a very nice turbot). The thing that distinguishes Chez Huguette from the other seafood restaurants in the row is the view - it's the one on the end and has views over the bay. Watching the sun set over the bay with a plate of seafood and a glass of chilled white wine is highly recommended.

Was taken here by local friends. The meal was fantastic. I had a plate of seafood, served on ice and was a great quality and very fresh. 4of the party had a local in season fish which was filleted at the table. We asked the head waitress to recommend a white wine, which was excellent and a sensible price. Worth a visit and you must book in the season as it gets very busy.
I just love this place and it is really difficult to improve on what is already an excellent typical authentic restaurant in Anderson, my favorite getaway, in the middle of the great fresh seafood, artists paintings, wonderful surroundings, makes you want to stay there the whole day! oh, great service as well!
This small restaurant sits at th end of the row, right against the Bassin. The tide was out some all the boats rested in the mud. Fortunately the oysters and the fish were nonetheless very fresh. With a cold white wine this was a delightful meal!
First of all we did not find the lady in charge very pleasant. The food was nothing much. Sure gives you an impression of being in a canteen.The waitress smiles and talks to you but you feel its not sincere. We were very dissapointed.

The location is just perfect at the end of the pier with a great view over the bassin. The food is just ... great, fresh from the sea, cooked nicely. A short local but nice wine selection. and the staff is wonderful !
We had looked forward to a nice seafood meal at Chez Huguette.
