My children's doctor is in this area of Biarritz so I have walked past Chez Pilou many times. From outside I always thought it was a butcher's shop or similar. Went because a friend wanted to go and was not disappointed. Small menu and local...beer on draught. We had one of each from the menu (apart from the Cote de Boeuf). The owner is very friendly and very much a Biarrot.
After being turned away from a number of snooty restaurants because we didn't have a booking for lunch (which never even occurred to me!) we found this place completely by mistake. It was such a breath of fresh air to get a table without an interrogation, such friendly and funny service and gorgeous food. A proper down to earth French Bistrot.

Wow. The food here is unlike anything we've ever had before. We asked the waiter for recommendations and did not really know what we were eating most of the time, but it was delicious. Recommend for a real local experience. Reserva una mesa ahora
Didn't eat here but had drinks here every night of our 5 night stay. The owner is a really welcoming man, good craic and makes unreal gin and tonics! Definitely our new favourite non local local! Food looked excellent too.
This starter was amazing, as was the rest of our meal. Lovely service too. Can highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an authentic and friendly place to enjoy unusual delicacies!
A great place, eating and drinking with the locals. The host clearly enjoys what he does and this sets the ambience of the place.....happy and relaxed .....fantastic time was had

Amazing host. Beautiful ambience. Authentic and delicious food. We took Cote de beuf for and it was one of the best meal we had in Biarritz.
