I recently visited Chile-Tepin in Salt Lake City with a group of friends, and we had a fantastic time. The place was packed, which is always a good sign that you’re in for a treat. Despite the crowd, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and managed to keep everything running smoothly. One of the highlights of our meal was the molcajete. It was simply fantastic. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with a good mix of meats and vegetables, all simmering in a savory, spicy sauce. This place takes pride in their service, food presentation, and food taste/flavor. Their rice is amazing and their salsa is delectable. I would definitely recommend their chicken fajitas and salads. their I’m always wary of places that call themselves authentic Mexican restaurants but this place is it. I came here with about 12 people for a work luncheon and everyone enjoyed their meal. The waiters are friendly and care about their customers and the atmosphere is clean and bright. If I could give 10 stars I would. The only con is parking. You may need to pay for parking.
This restaurant was phenomenal!! Can't say enough great things. We were trying to decide on a place for dinner among the many mexican cuisines available. We stumbled upon this gem, and man, am I glad we did. Restaurant was super busy, but our wait was minimal. Fresh chips and salsa kept coming by the sweet lady there. The server was nice and attentive! We enjoyed mocajete some guacamole. It was all so delicious!!!
Really enjoyed our lunch experience at Chile-Tepin. It was a close walk from my husband’s office and we loved the location. It’s located in the Crane Building and it has a nice corner view of the street and surrounding buildings, there’s a lot of natural light from the windows. Our food was more on the authentic side and we loved every bite! Will definitely visit again.
