The food here is always fresh, always prepared exactly as requested (and we generally ask for a lot: vegetarian, extra tofu, no egg, no utensils, sauces, or cookies etc... . They are always polite on the phone, always done on time and handed over with a smile in a simple paper bag, well packed, and heaping, generous portions for a fair price. In the wasteland of Parsippany take-out this little hole-in-the-wall place shines bright. Nothing much to look at, yet the kitchen is run by hard working people who, day in and day out, consistently serve up tasty, fairly healthy food (albeit a tad salty, but that's a given with most restaurant food . What would we do without China City! We are so grate...

I've been visiting this restaurant for many years, and I can't believe I haven't reviewed it until now. It truly is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. We've tried several, but we always return to China City. The food is fresh and flavorful, the portions are generous, and our orders are always ready at the promised time. The family that operates the restaurant is fantastic. During a significant part of COVID, they had to close, and we had a hard time finding a suitable alternative. When they reopened, the lines outside were a clear indication that many others felt the same way.

I ordered two chicken broccoli dishes last night, and what I received was nowhere near my expectations. The chicken didn't resemble chicken at all; it was rubbery and slimy, making it difficult to chew. The broccoli had long stems that were just as hard to eat. I ended up with an upset stomach and had to throw away the second meal. I won’t be coming back. I'm giving it one star to reflect my experience.

I've tried many Chinese restaurants in search of the perfect sesame chicken, but some tend to make it overly sweet. However, China City gets it just right. Their food is not only delicious but also always fresh. It's definitely one of my favorite fast-food Chinese spots. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food here is excellent. I've ordered the house special chow fun, beef and broccoli, fried scallops and vegetable lo mein. There are only 3 tables, so most people take out their order. Very friendly restaurant. My 5 year old loves the chicken wings too.

Last week, I stopped by to pick up Chinese food for my family, and we all loved it! I enjoyed my meal so much that I finished everything that night. I had the combo with sweet and sour pork, and next time I plan to try the fried dumplings.

The pork fried rice was inconsistently prepared—part of it was mushy while the other part was undercooked. The pork raised some concerns, and overall, the dish lacked flavor.
