China-Goldene Pagode

We've been there as a group of people from all different countries. Reserving was easy and we also had no problems ordering though we sometimes had to clarify exactly what we wanted. Nevertheless one drink was minorly mixed up. The food itself was very...good. The menu has a lot to offer and all of our meals were tasty. The only minus was the amount of rice. We got bowls of rice for meals that needed rice and they were used up to. We asked for another one and got a tiny bowl, so we asked for a big one additionally. Only once we paid we figured out that we were charged small bowls of rice, each costing which I consider pricy. We could have checked before but were a bit unpleasantly surprised....

I was trying this restaurnt on sunday night,because the one I used to go in was closed and I was curious from the good reviews.For me the place was not beautiful without nice or tipical music and with a place really tipical austrian who didn't...help to get into the atmosphere.Service was polite but not the best and the food for me was bad,the small fried things not frash made and the noodles dry and not good tasting,a little better the meet but for sure not best tested for me.

I honestly have to say this was a disappointing experience. The food was not bad, but quiet unspectacular and plain. My table mates had the same impression. Waiting times were long (especially considering the quality of the dish), taking into account the few guests...that had a table that evening. The atmoshere is that of a typical older mid-level Chinese restaurant. Goldene Pagode has received great critics, that I can´t confirm.

This was recommended by a local and unlike many European Chinese redtaurants this is not a buffet. Food was plentiful and with drinks I fed people for under euros. Food was very tasty and they had menus in English. Would recommend .

They are very friendly and offer nice Chinese food. Tipp: if you call them in advance, they will also prepare "real" Chinese food for you (not the stuff which was customized to fit the European taste) but it is a bit pricy
