Was ordering two ice creams at counter. While ordering we were trying to decide flavours and toppings (extra cost). We finally decided and cashier was ready to cash us out.Before he could even get the terminal ready for payment, a staff lady had already prepared an ice cream with one of the flavours that we asked about but didn’t actually choose (and remember we still haven’t even paid yet). We said we didn’t order that. She said we did. We heard so many good stuff about this place so we stopped for a break around 4PM. I think we arrived at the worse moment… we waited around 30 minutes to be served… and we received our order with 10 15 minutes between each item we were 4 and order 2 ice creams 1 milkshake and 1 moka. What was the most incomprehensible was that other people which just got to the place were served before us.. really found this not so pleasant. But what we took was good except Moka which tasted a lot like chocolate milkshake…?!?
Stopped by after dinner for a treat after passing by the previous day. We didn't experience any issues like other reviews. Sure, tables were moved and not put back, and they probably could have paid more attention to wiping them down. But we easily found a clean one, even tho it was fairly busy. Service was fast and polite. Even took the extra effort to get the staff member who spoke the best English to answer questions.
We visited this location today, and were abhorred. We were not even able to finish eating our order. The place is swarming with flies not just in the seating area, but also where the food is being prepared. We saw an employee playfully chasing the other with a pair of tongs, then putting it back to serve the toppings without washing it. I think this particular location needs some work. First time customer from America. Tables were messy (only one other customer group) and customer service wasn’t great.We had to pay in cash (there was no sign but cashier told us no card because the wifi was down) and we had to pay the Canadian dollar price in USD (1 Usd for 1 Cad) and they gave us Canadian dollars for change.The dishes were good but I won’t remember it fondly.
The ice cream didn’t have great flavour and the caramel in the sundae was waxy. I finished the ice cream but only since I paid so much for it.The shop did have a cool ceiling that looks like melting chocolate. It was the reason I walked in. I’ve included a photo so you can save your money.I’m going to Dairy Queen next time.
