Well after ready many good reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We were not greeted when we walked in but stood at the front for maybe 5 minutes before a waitress acknowledged us and then waited probably another 5-10 minutes before she actually took our order. We were handed menus at the register and told to order before we sat down. Don't love that. We ordered the potato grenades (which were the best thing we tried) pit sampler, the shop burrito and a fried chicken sandwich. $85...whoah! Oh my gosh!! My wife and I make a point of trying new restaurants as often as possible and this place is the next big thing!!! The food here is off the chain amazing and we felt like royalty being catered to by the actual owner Chris who is an incredible Master Chef that takes impeccable pride in his creations!!! His staff is too notch amazing as well!! Indoor and outdoor eating!! The energy here and the authenticity still have me speechless!! Every other Saturday enjoy a Paint and Sip experience with the manager Sarah who is also a master artist! She taught a large group of us how to paint over a lovely 3 course meal that chef Chris and dynamic team made for us!! I had the most amazing time...

This is top tier brisket, top tier barbecue, top tier sauce top tier sides!They do it right here at chop shop with a perfect pink smoke line, juicy, fork tender, well marbled, great bark perfectly cooked perfectly rested brisket sliced to order. Melt. In. Your. Mouth. ????? Try both sauces and the house made dips. We 've been to.CS twice. First time we said we 'd never be back. Second was on a whim and we were downtown and hungry. Food was burnt.....really burnt and horrible. When we mentioned it to the waitress she apologized and asked if she could bring us anything else. Before we could answer, the cook yelled from the back and said what 's wrong with it . AMAZING, We had the sampler and everything was perfect. The potato granades were also a great appetizer . We chose the bread pudding for dessert and got spoiled by the chef with a wonderful fresh fruit dessert as an extra. All I can say is Wow we will be back and you should try this place. Thank you to all the staff we really appreciate you all.

This place is our go to restaurant in Caldwell. Chef and his crew always have something new and fun, or a tried and true delicacy. Their standard menu is phenomenal bbq but what really takes the cake is their specialty dinners and daily specials. Do yourself a favor and drive to Caldwell for this shop. Eat the panacotta afterward. You’re welcome

Unique and fun smoked food place! Chef Kris has a spice blend to DIE FOR- With a rotating menu. We had the sampler plate, eveything was amazing, scallop stuffed smoked morels, and year old ciopino and smoked buffalo tounge. Everything was absolutely amazing! You wont be dissapointed

Good was far beyond delicious. The atmosphere is stellar. Only thing holding this place back is adequate staffing. You feel it, they feel it. It's just a sign of the times. I strongly recommend Chop Shop!
