The food was excellent; my salad was a solid 10/10. I'm quite familiar with the menu and how the ordering process works. However, I’m compelled to give this review only 2 stars due to the service I received. On Friday, May 27th, around 3 PM, I was attended to by a passive-aggressive male server. As I was ordering, I pointed at an item through the glass (without reaching over the food), and he reacted by waving his hand in a dismissive manner and rolling his eyes, suggesting that I shouldn’t point because of COVID. I found his behavior off-putting and made me feel as if I was some kind of germ. If he had simply said, “Excuse me” or “I’m sorry, but could you please not point?” instead of shovi...
Wow! I just left there, and the line had 20 people in it. Who would have guessed that a salad outlet could be so popular? They have all your classic salads made right in front of you, so they’re always fresh. At lunchtime, it’s bustling with businesspeople, singles, and moms enjoying salads with their kids. They specialize in salads and a few grain bowls, so if you love greens with plenty of toppings, I highly recommend it. This was a great experience for me, as it was my first time in this type of food service establishment. Everything is healthy and reasonably priced, and the energy of the staff adds to the freshness of the experience.
I used to be a regular at this restaurant, but after finding a large bug in my salad tonight, I won’t be returning. When Chopt first opened, the food was fantastic, but the quality of the salads has dropped recently. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy my salad tonight—it tasted great, just like old times. However, when I was about three-quarters of the way through, I discovered a bug in it. I'll be attaching photos for reference. It’s really disappointing.
This used to be my favorite restaurant, but I’ve noticed that many of the long-time staff have left, and the new employee really needs more training. He interrupted me while I was enjoying my salad to take my order, which felt quite unprofessional and rude. Furthermore, he had difficulty operating the cash register. The manager was there but didn’t step in to help him. Overall, it was a disappointing experience!

If he had just apologized or explained why he felt uneasy, I wouldn’t have been so upset. Although the food was good, I don’t want to come back to this restaurant because his behavior made me feel unwelcome. It’s one thing to be cautious, but I wasn’t doing anything wrong. The moment I indicated my order, he acted defensively and aggressively, which was very off-putting.
My favorite spot has changed quite a bit; most of the longtime staff have left, and the new employee really needs training. He halted in the middle of preparing my greens to ring up my order, which was quite unhygienic and unpleasant. He also seems to struggle with the register. Even though the manager was right there, they didn’t offer any help... fantastic!
The lines at Chopt Creative Salad Co. are much shorter now that they’ve stopped chopping the salads. My favorite from the menu is the Mexican Caesar with fried chicken—so delicious! The hospitality here is outstanding. Yvonne, the general manager, is an absolute gem, and Shermaine is the funniest manager you’ll ever meet. This place is a must-visit!
I’m becoming more mindful about my food choices, and when a meal is both delicious and healthy, it’s a definite win. Great job, Chopt!
