The food and service were excellent and deserved a 5 however will not be frequenting again as dogs are allowed in there. I do not have anything against dogs but two young women were in there and allowed their poodle to go on the table absolutely disgusting This is a shame as the staff were cleaning everything we just found it really off-putting, we have mentioned this to others who have also experienced the same at this venue, thank you old bakery but you could have had our regular custom but not with animals present
Always rave about this little hidden gem! The bubble and squeak is the die for and the bacon is of the best quality! The only negative, there 's one female member of staff (older) who can come across rude. Quite abrupt and can make you feel like a total nuisance if you attend with a baby in a highchair. We originally put this down to a 'bad day ' but we 've visited several times since and are still met by the same unfortunate attitude. All over staff are brilliant. Love the fire during the winter.
Went for breakfast on a sat morning, very very busy cafe. Order full and a small breakfast with extra bubble and squeak and black pudding. Herby sausages had a funny taste the black pudding could have been cooked a bit more the squeak was cold. The bacon had been deep fried which is a new way of cooking it so it was crisp and tasted like chips. Nothing bad just could do with better ingredients, butchers sausages and bacon and eggs.
Been to this Cafe a few times for breakfast which has always been okay. However, I was very disappointed with the roasts dinner. The turkey was tasteless , frozen peas frozen roast potatoes not sure about the carrots and the gravy was so thin you could see straight through it. For £7.50 this was very over priced. If your going to this Cafe I would recommend you try something else.!

On this occasion we popped in just for a coffee and cake but we'll be back soon for a lunch as you are so hard to beat for quality of both food and service and you really have taken on board most professionally the need to socially distance
Regularly go here for breakfast and the food is always lovely. So nice to have a cooked breakfast that isn't greasy. The ingredients are always good quality and fills you for the day. The Christmas Dinner was also lovely this year!!
Visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Both had big breakfast which was lovely, nice ingredients and was served quickly. The only complain was the Rottweiler taking the orders, she was Ferocious!!
This is a great place to have coffee. The service was excellent and Julie couldn't do enough to ensure that we were comfortable. Perfect for an impromptu meet with a colleague. Thank you.

Popped in for a birthday brunch. The Eggs Benedict dish I chose was superb and a good strength of coffee is served too. This was not my first visit and will not be my last. Excellent
Lovely breakfast menu here with good choices, which is what we went here for. Log fire nice ambience parking outside available. Pleasant staff toilet baby changing available.
