An order for two of us, to be delivered at 6pm Valentines Day. We half expected there to be problems/delays due to the date, but no, we were not disappointed. Food we ordered arrived hot, and on time, complete with heart balloon! We went through the menu .. everything from Ribs to S/Sour Chicken, Chow Mein etc. knowing that the price £30+ would be offset by the fact that portions are always generous, and allow for freezing of 'leftovers ' to be consumed another day. Every dish was just perfect.. and we thoroughly enjoyed out Valentine meal together. Glad to see this is one Restaurant that has survived the Covid lockdown. Pleased to give them our support.
We visited with friends on Friday 27/1/23 for an evening meal. The restaurant has a very comprehensive menu and we chose the set meal 'E ' for 4 people. This is different to the menu you see on line which I think must be for take away orders. The service we received was faultless. The quality of the food can only be described as outstanding and the quantity of each dish was more than ample for 4 people. We left absolutely full and very happy and we would recommend this venue to anyone
We decided at the last moment to dine out and booked the Golden well. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us, the gentleman serving us even advised us that we were ordering too much as the portion sizes are very generous( and boy wasn’t he right) he had a fantastic sense of humour. The food was absolutely beautiful, all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. We would definitely dine here again.
We have been living near this restaurant for many years, but only recently decided to order from here. We were glad we did, as the food satisfied everyone. The portions were large and delicious. Our order included both meat and dairy options. There were plenty of choices for those who do not consume animal products. The food was prepared quickly, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. It is definitely worth trying out, and we will be ordering from here again.

It had been many years since our last visit to The Golden Well and we were pleasantly surprised by the changes. The warm and friendly greeting set the tone for a great dining experience. The staff were polite and provided service at the perfect level. The food was outstanding in both quality and quantity - we even had leftovers to take home. We highly recommend their oriental cuisine. We opted for the "B" menu for five people and were not disappointed.
Not great, eaten here the other day with a mate after hearing good things, I had a beef curry and chips, chips were extra and expensive, I didn't enjoy and felt sick after it, there are so many nicer places about I'd go elsewhere, paying more doesn't mean better quality, too expensive and bland, won't eat here again.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. It is incredibly fresh with a wide variety to choose from. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it.
It was really stunning we had a set meal for 2 and the starters wete top notch the mains were the same lovely staff i can,t think of one negative i,ll be back aging
