Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe Banquets

We went to Chuck's for breakfast. We were sat in the same area as all other tables already there. Weren't asked for drinks until about 10-15 minutes later. While getting our drink order, we also asked for water. We got our drinks 10 minutes later (only 3 other tables in the restaurant, in the same section), but no water. Asked again, still nothing. Then a busser passed by and we asked him for water, which took no more than 2 minutes to get. Once we had our food (served by the busser) our server did not come by and ask if we needed anything else. Again, we had to get hot sauce by asking the busser. Not even a minute to wait for it. About 15 minutes later our server comes by and asks me if I wanted jelly for my toast, that was pretty cold by that point. I said no and she asked if we needed anything else. We enjoyed our food, no issues. While I am still eating, since I fed my toddler first, the server came by with the check. I AM LITERALLY STILL EATING. We weren't looking around for her to come bring us the bill nor requested it. There was no line at the door for new customers waiting, still the same 4 tables total. Then not even 10 minutes go by and she stands there waiting for us to pull out our payment for the bill. Luckily I stayed composed. We gave her the payment, and she stands there waiting for the option of which tip amount we're choosing. I have worked as a server before, I was completely disgusted with her actions. Luckily I don't come here often, and probably won't be coming IN to eat here again. You can't service us, but can't wait for your tip. Thank you so much for a bad experience.

Chuck's is one of my favorite restaurants. I like everything about this place. The food is excellent. It is Cajun and Pub style, and it is done to perfection. The atmosphere is great, and the servers are always upbeat and happy to greet you. You will not be disappointed. Their breakfast is terrific, served only on Saturday and Sunday. As this was a to go order, (DoorDash) this was amazing! Jambalaya with Blackened Chicken and Shrimp! As well as Two cakes w/ crab, shrimp, Andouille sausage, peppers, onions; roasted poblano honey cream sauce. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5

Great appetizers, nice bar and jambalaya with the most tender chicken I've ever had. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu also. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
