Chun Wah Kam Noodle Factory

After Char Hung Sut closed and Island Manapua Factory changed owners (and their food started tasting different), I needed a new place to get manapua. Chun Wah Kam filled that void pretty well. Both their steamed and baked char siu manapua have well seasoned filling and the bread is light and fluffy. While they have other varieties, like lap cheong manapua and pizza manapua, my feelings towards these more eccentric options are...mixed and I might just stick with classic char siu. Manapua is a Hawaiian word. It is the shortened version of two words: Mea Cambodian puaa, that means delicious pork. Mauna puaaa, that means mountain of pork. I've never been to this Chun Wah restaurant. I ordered their mini-plate Char sui, hong kong udon noodles, garlic fried rice, crispy meter and pork chop. After eating what I thought was a lot, I looked at my plate that was half full when I never touched it! Very recommended! Reminds me of my childhood that grew up here in Hawaii when my grandparents were alive!

This place will always have a line! I always say I'm going to order ahead, but then I'm driving by and the manapua just call me in. Worth the wait, although you will likely have to wait because of their high volume. The staff are always running around to get orders out quickly. Reserva una mesa ahora

Fantastic noodles and delicious food! The portions were very generous. While the prices might seem a bit steep, the quality and quantity make it a real bargain. We enjoyed the garlic chicken, beef and broccoli, and more. It was so good that we’ll definitely be returning!

Excellent service and food!! The staff is knowledgeable and helped us beginners. The food was wonderful, the manapua is unforgettable, and the almond cookies are delicious! Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Good food, generous portions and reasonably priced. The mini plate is enough for 2-3 meals for me. I start with ginger chicken fried rice then make my other choices. Also the Manapuas and dim sum are delicious.

Wow, this food is absolutely delicious and well worth the price! They serve generous portions that are as towering as the surrounding mountains.
