Ciao Amici never lets me down. 10/10 for service and food every time!! I am usually the one to pickup but this last time I had my fiance go in just so he could experience the love as soon as you walk in. I am a die hard for the tortellini alfredo, I always regret not getting two orders even though the portions are HUGE. Without a doubt, any time we order my fiance who insists he does not like alfredo will be stealing my food! The gnocchi with rose is another favourite of ours, but truly everything is soo good! Great small place, I was lucky to get a seat, afterwards lucky to get out the door. I ate too much. Being the first time there, I wanted it all. Pasta kills my diet. So, we were good, had a wonderful huge Ceaser salad and shared it. Lots of dressing. Meatballs amazing, the ravioli the best I have ever had. Lots if Italian bread to dip. The owners I presume very friendly, a very happy atmosphere and how could there not be? All happy guests and owners! Hopefully one, wine can be servedand hopefully, a Rippasso. Then you will see even more happiness. Amazing prices. We will be back, next time for rice balls and spaghetti.
As a business traveler covering both North America and Europe, I have ordered alfredo sauces from many fine restaurants with the goal of finding the best. The search is over - Ciao Amici, a very small family restaurant in Oshawa Ontario has the best Alfredo I have ever tasted. You can order it with the pasta of your choice, eat in, take out or local delivery. Thick, tasty, balanced - no flour, 18% cream, perfectly blended. Surprisingly low prices. If you are a fan of alfredo, you have to eat here. And forgot to mention - yummy caesar salad as well!!
I tried the rosé sauce penne with meatballs and a side salad at this restaurant. It cost $18 and ended up being enough for two meals. The sauce was tasty and the meatballs were large, soft, and juicy. Compared to my favorite place, the meatballs were just as juicy and soft but a bit on the bland side (which is good for me, as I prefer slightly saltier food). I plan to come back to try their meat sauce and gnocchi. Despite there being only two staff members on site, they were very quick and friendly.
Found this place after having a random pasta craving and looking up local places. Found a gem here, huge portions for the price and amazing pasta and sauce. Lots of combos to try, the pics are my meals the last times I ordered and both times my bf was already looking at their menu again after eating deciding what he wants to try next. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
Hands down the best best Italian food in Durham Region. If you want authentic homemade Italian food Ciao Amici is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. The food is superb and the owners welcome you like family. A must try if you are in the area and if not not they deliver!
