Cine Cafe Rex - Reservar una mesa

We stumbled upon this cafe quite by accident when passing by the local Rex theater in Sarlat. This small, casual cafe offers up an interesting menu - with the day' s specials scribbled on a blackboard. It's hard being a vegetarian tourist in Sarlat, so the choices here came as a breath of fresh air. We tried two savoury pies stuffed with vegetables and cheese (served with generous sides of leafy salad) and some desert - lots of interesting pastries and tarts. Service is friendly and attentive. An unexpected (but very welcome) vegetarian-friendly venue.

The owner of our holiday home recommended this place if Katie had not mentioned it we would never of thought to dine here, we love going to the cinema and were surprised when we were told that there was English films shown. The main courses on the blackboard are as Katie said, original, delicious and served with a smile, we were really surprised to find such good food and the wine by the glass is very well priced.

We had lunch here on one of our days in Sarlat and found it all a really great experience - and especially the fresh patisseries!

Very welcoming staff! Had a great dinner here after a long day of travel. I'll definitely be back soon. Great food!
