Circa At Foggy Bottom

I've eaten at CIRCA Foggy Bottom many times for a reason--the food is good-to-great, the ambiance is very pleasant, and the staff is friendly. The whole package is a good deal for what you pay. Service is the one thing that remains inconsistent. On this visit, the restaurant was barely full but service was a bit choppy. Our entrees came out halfway through our salads, which meant that the table was too crowded and either the salad had to be abandoned or the entree got cold. We had to flag our head server down several times to clear the table or provide fresh silverware or to indicate we were ready for dessert. Other than that, it was an excellent experience, and I will be back!

Fresh fish cooked perfectly. Service both friendly and efficient. Prices as expected for the neighborhood. Look forward to returning

Absolutely stellar food. Brussels sprout salad, Parmesan kale salad, pumpkin ravioli… best I’ve ever had!

Very good steak salad with of sirloin, so a great value proposition. First rate burger as well.
