On the 170m walk up Brick Lane from the Premier Hub, this critically acclaimed restaurant was the only curry house not to harass me to eat, convincing me that passing the other 22 curry houses was worth it. Was it? The window is adorned with reviews like a heavyweight boxer’s trophy room (See images) with the diners inside tucking in , but is it really The King of Brick Lane”? They have a dedicated vegan menu (1st in Brick Lane) with a mix of traditional vegan specialties and plenty of plant based meat substitute dishes too (see menu) with a Bangladeshi Indian influence. [hidden link] A good measure of a older style trad restaurant is the Thali and it was up there with the best of the best....

THIS RESTAURANT ACTUALLY CARES FOR VEGANS! Came in, they explained they had an award winning vegan menu just for vegans, gave us special vegan chutney trays for the poppadums, and all waiters even in a time of staff shortage, were trained on what veganism and any allergies actually meant for food. And then the food! OH MY GOD! It is clear why it is an award winning restaurant! Amazing amazing amazing vegan thali just superb! Highly highly recommend this new gem I have found,

great vegan cuisine and a visit worth when booking a vegan Indian restaurant! also serves meat as its great as it can accommodate for the whole group! my meal really loved as the vegan pfeffer and house style 'bhuna (made with vegan no-meat pieces) was an excellent dish! the staff was friendly and friendly! will come back!

here with some Carnivore friends so could not share the vegan thali dish. I had the daal begun gatta on the basis of hc reviews. it was perfect.

this was a nice place to eat; good food, friendly staff. we have the vegan thali and spring rolls. the thali was really good.
